In honor of our Independence day here are some of my favorite Red, White and Blue things. I am just loving the color!

The Circus is coming to town!

When I was a little girl one happy memory that sticks out always was going to the circus. Not just any circus but the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus! Thats right. The Greatest show on Earth. I loved everything about it. The lights, the people, the food and games. It was magical and I was in heaven. Well they are coming our way this weekend and I am taking the kids. Unfortunately Dan can't make it but we will make the best and I know we will have a blast. I can't wait to see their faces and share in the joy and fun of one of my favorite memories.

Monogram Tank

Start with a blank tank or shirt. I found this one on clearance at Target for $3. I love the color.




Here are the materials I used, fashion Glitter and Glitter bond. I made a stencil using my computer and printer. Next time I would use freezer paper, this paper stuck and had to be plucked off.




Here are the next steps, use the glitter bond with the sponge on the stencil. Then sprinkle the fashion glitter on the glue. Let dry for 2 hours laying flat. When dry brush away extra glitter and wait 72 hours before washing inside out.






And here is the finished product....I LOVE it!! I may have to make myself one.

What Movies mean to me and a review

Since I can remember watching a movie has been part of my being. I have always enjoyed watching movies of all kinds and feeling like I was a part of that story. I love reading but there is something about movies that just moves me. I have to admit that when I have seen a movie based on a book the book always win. WIth all of this said, this summer I decided to create a movie club.

There are so many book clubs out there that it is more then common. I wanted to do something different. I decided to start a movie club; women only. We have had our first "meeting" and it went pretty well with a few mishaps but I think we have it under control. Here is my review of Hangover 2.

If you liked the first one and had the humor in ya to with stand watching it you will LOVE the second. Number 2 is WAY more dirty and way more fun then the first. We find the men back together again to celebrate Stu's wedding in Thailand. With everything seeming to end quietly two nights before the wedding you know it is all about to go crazy. There is a monkey, strip club, tattoo parlor and buddhist monks. How can you go wrong with that recipe? I loved it and I want to see it again. Our next adventure is Bad Teacher with Cameron Diaz.

I'M BACK!

It has been way too long. When I started this blog last summer I didn't think I would have trouble keeping up with it during the school year. But being a teacher with two of my own children made things a little harder. Now that school is out I am going to make it my goal to blog more often. I have a ton of projects I am working on or plan to work on . I also want to share some of my teaching ideas for early childhood classrooms. I hope I am more successful than I have been in the past with this thing. I really do find it to be relaxing and enjoyable. I need an outlet, a way to express myself. Really looking forward to this summer. With that said here is my favorite summer pic so far. I take so many but this one is from the other day.

We were at that wonderful store that is so controversial in so many ways: Walmart when I saw this slip and slide for $5! You can't beat that can ya?! I mean even if they only play with it once I think I may have gotten my monies worth. So here are a few more pics.

I LOVE love

I love love, I love Valentines Day. I love my beautiful children and my wonderful husband who helped me make those children. Life is not always easy but, I have more love then I ever thought I would. I love the cute smiles on my students faces when we shared the wonderful celebration today. I love that I have so many wonderful parents that help me out in the classroom. I love my family, near and far. I miss those not close every day. I love my friends that are here and there. I am always thinking of them. Sometimes just the thought of them makes me smile. I love love. Happy Valentines Day!

Snow shoot

I love snow. I don't necessarily like the cold or the mess it makes. But, I love the look, the smell and the sound of snow. It makes me happy and I feel at peace when I am surrounded by it. I decided since we have been cooped up all week that we should get out and do a quick photo shoot with this beautiful back drop. I just couldn't resist. Since it was about 20 degrees outside we only lasted about 12 mins total. That means Aidan first for about 4 mins, then Kenna for about 6 and then 2 with the two of them. Hey I had to work quick! lol. Even though these are just three of the pictures I took I am really happy with the results. Maybe more to come.

Lately

More then enough has kept me away for so long from blogging. I could go on for a while at least two paragraphs on why I haven't in a while but, for know I am going to skip all the stress, sickness, and motherly/wifely things and right to the stuff that has brought me back.
We have had a MAJOR snow here in central Oklahoma. I have had all week except Monday off from school. Many things have come to mind in the last four days like "why do they NOT plow the roads?" and "I love my kids so very much and they make me laugh and smile and sometimes go a little crazy to be back at work."
To kill some of our boredom we have created art, and took pictures. Plus we ventured out to feed the fish in my classroom and shop a little. Two days in a row actually. Here are some things I have created lately and somethings they have created.

Here is our new color in our bedroom. Went from an ugly olive green to this very pale gray. I decided to add the quote. (please ignore the level I forgot in the clock when hanging the quote. lol)

Its amazing what a little Modge Podge can do. Not sure what I am going to use this for yet.

Finished my first week!!

I am so proud of myself. I have finished my first week of bootcamp and I feel pretty good. I was so scared of how sore and tired I would be. I really thought I couldn't do it. Well, I proved myself wrong! I am just so happy I made it. I hate feeling like I am tired, sick and yucky all the time. My doctor recently told me I am about 15-20 lbs over weight. I couldn't believe it. I am a very short woman. I knew I had gained quite a bit but, that much over weight? Well, weather she is right or not I did need a health make over. I want to feel good about myself again so here I go.
I do have to give much credit to our instructor, Yaisa Mann. She is amazing, always with a positive attitude and always helpful. I am not sure how she does it with 3 kids and a job. But, I am amazed at her hard work and encouraging style. I thank her for making this experience what it is for me. You should check out her blog. I'll link it to mine.

Bootcamp.

How much do I LOVE sleep??? I love it almost as much as my children, more then my husband. Ok I am exaggerating. But I need it more then the average. On that note, I have started a bootcamp to start my new year. it starts at 5:30 and lasts about an hour. I have to rush home to get a shower and get two kids ready for school and myself ready too. It is so difficult but for some reason I am doing pretty good. I am working my ass off and dying for a change. Report back to me for remarks. " )
