Classroom Update...Pictures!

So I know I have kept you all waiting to see some of the "after" pictures of my new classroom.  I have been working my fingers to the bone.  And of course I am not completely finished.  I have had some real fun mishaps, and some crazy DIY (more on that later).  But, here are some pictures of my new room.  More will follow in the next few days I hope ; )

This is my first bulletin board I finished.  I used the
Whole Brain Teaching rules.  Love them!

This is my calendar area.  I still have to add the days
of the week, but I found this great wrapping paper
in the closet and had to use it.

This is the bulletin board I will use to introduce
new books and themes.

I used some more wrapping paper and colored duct
tape on my desk and filing cabinet area.  I am still
organizing this, as you can see.

My Word Wall

And this is my kitchen area, with my homemade
window, and my show off board ; )  I have to get a
few more close pins.  I ran out.

Can't wait to share the rest with you in the next few days.  Hope this helps others, as much as looking at other's rooms helps me, get great ideas.

  1. It looks great! I love your desk!

  2. I love your desk and the homemade window! That is such a cute idea! :)

  5. I agree your desk is precious! Your room looks great and I know you will have another wonderful year shaping little minds! You have such a great personality for teaching little ones! You are amazing!

    1. You are so sweet, and thank you for your kind words. I hope your children are all doing well and enjoying the school year! I love your blog as well and think you are such an amazing mommy! You inspire me, really!

  6. Your room looks beautiful and ready for children. I am writing because I just started my first linky party about classroom themes. If you want to help out a new blogger who is trying so hard to find followers:), please follow this link. I'd love to hear about your classroom theme.

    1. Carol, I am so sorry I missed this post from you!! I feel awful, I am assuming I missed the linky party, if I didn't I would love to share. I guess. I was unaware of my comments, I will be better about this from now on.

  7. I was brought to your post through your comment to me on the TPT forum and I am so glad I stopped by! I am new to the blogging world and it's great to see what other people are writing about and posting.

Anyway, I LOVE your photos! Your classroom transformation is coming along quite well. This is my first year in a while that I don't have a classroom of my own. I'm planning to sub this year to spend a little more time with my son. So, when I first saw your before pictures, I thought, "Whew, thank goodness I don't have to get a room ready this year." Then I came to this post, and thought, "I'm so sad that I don't have a room to get ready this year."

Oh well, everything for a reason, right? I just want to wish you luck and success in your blog, and for this school year.

    Take care! ~Tanya Rae

I am so glad you enjoy my blog! Before you know it you will have your own room to get ready! And boy is it a lot of work, but fun too. Shhh don't tell my hubby ; ) I like him to think he should pamper me when I am working so hard. Lol. Anyway, good luck to you this year with subbing. It helps get your name out there!
